Depending on whether the simulator is equipped with a Supermicro or an ASRock Rack motherboard, the IPMI login screen will be slightly different.
For both motherboard manufacturers, once in Once passed the IPMI login procedure on either motherboard as described below, the OPAL-RTLinux login screen, the procedureis the same for all motherboards.

Supermicro Motherboard

In the Supermicro motherboard web interface displayed, enter the IPMI login credentials:

Once remotely connected to the simulator, you are welcomed by OPAL-RTLinux login prompt.

  • Username: root
  • Password: Refer to your hardware documentation entitled "System Description."
    • If the IPMI OPAL-RTLinux login credentials are not in the System Description document or if you cannot find the System Description document, please contact the OPAL-RT Technical Support team, who will be happy to assist you.

      • Be sure to include your simulator's Operating System (e.g., OPAL-RTLinux 3).

Setting an IP address

At initial OPAL-RTLinux installation, the network a static IP address is configured by OPAL-RT and provided to the customer.
To get the current IP address, you can type ip address (alias: ip a)or its legacy equivalent ifconfig.
The expected output should look like the screen captures below.
